You can remove most clogs from your toilet using a household plunger. If you don't have a plunger, you can purchase one at most local hardware stores or big box retailers.
Use the plunger to create suction against the drainage hole and push the clog through the pipe. Do not flush the toilet until the water drains on its own, or you could inadvertently flood your bathroom.
If you don't have hot water in your rental home, locate your water heater and verify that all of the settings on the tank are accurate. If your heater is powered by gas, check that the pilot light is lit.
If you make any changes to the settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature again. This will help ensure the heater has time to function properly.
If your heating or air conditioning isn't functioning as expected, use the central thermostat in your home to troubleshoot the issue. Make sure the system is on and all settings are accurate. If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own, get in touch with us.
